Justine's roots are in the bass and although far now from her start as a bass player with bands like Lixivius, Shooshish and Danny Wax among others, these roots run deep. Justine has matured into a thoughtful and deliberate lyricist, vocalist and guitarist writing music with a deep living pulse. A prolific songwriter with a diverse pool of influences including the likes of Patty Griffin, Jane Tyrell and Kirsten Hersh, Justine is definitely someone to be watched as she pokes her head up in the Sydney alt country-roots-folk scene with her fresh take on these styles.
Her debut album, "A Long Way From Home" was awarded the Anthony Lycenco Best Album Award at the Nimbin Roots ARMAs in 2017. 
With an EP, "Conversations with Crows", and an Album under her belt, Justine will launch her new single "Bird Song", recorded by Michael Carpenter, on February 24th. In early March 2018 work will begin on her second Album "A Pair of Dreamers" with Paul Greene.
In 2017 Justine toured in Sweden as a solo performer and with her other project CloudBird, she was also invited to support Alison Ferrier on her Sydney tour.
Other achievements to date include getting 3 songs into the top 44 in the overall Triple J Unearthed charts and 3 songs in the top 5 of the Indie charts (30/01/2012). in 2012 Justine with "The Men" made it to the finals of the Emergenza Festival International Band Competition and came 5th out of roughly 450 NSW based Groups. 2013 saw the release of Justine's solo EP "Conversations with Crows" which was warmly received, gaining local community radio play. She also toured in France where she played shows to appreciative audiences in Tourette's Sur Loup and Toulouse. In 2014 and 2015 Justine joined the Sydney Fringe Festival line up, playing shows to packed houses at Lazybones Lounge and Glebe Justice Centre. In 2016 Justine joined forces with Peter Fenwick to form Cloudbird, they were later joined by Anthony Haller on Drums; In CloudBird, poetry and Folk collide with foot tapping road trip sing a long's entwining guitars, harmonies, girl boy, yin yang, north south, land sea, cloud bird ... In 2018 expect some recordings to be released for this duo as well.
